About This Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Data Analyst, Product in Spain.
This role sits at the core of a fast-scaling, fully remote data organization where analytics directly shapes product direction, business strategy, and customer experience. You will act as a senior thought partner to product leadership, proactively identifying the most important questions before they are asked and ensuring product decisions are grounded in rigorous, scalable data frameworks. The position focuses on connecting product behavior to business outcomes such as revenue, retention, and user engagement, while elevating experimentation maturity across the organization. You will design analytical systems and measurement standards that product teams rely on independently, enabling consistent and high-quality decision-making at scale. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will influence product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and feature evaluation through deep analytical insight. This is a high-impact role for a strong product analytics leader who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building structure in rapidly evolving environments.
- Partner with product teams to define success metrics, design experiments, and evaluate feature and product impact.
- Design and execute statistically rigorous experiments, including hypothesis definition, power analysis, and clear decision frameworks.
- Establish and refine product-level KPIs, connecting product performance metrics to broader business outcomes such as revenue and retention.
- Develop and maintain governed dashboards and reporting systems in BI tools, enabling scalable self-service analytics.
- Define tracking plans, event taxonomy, and instrumentation standards in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into user behavior, funnels, cohort performance, and retention trends.
- Size product opportunities and build business cases to inform roadmap prioritization and investment decisions.
- Train and enable product managers and stakeholders to confidently interpret data and experiment results.
- Contribute to the evolution of product analytics practices, including coverage models, frameworks, and operating standards.
- Collaborate with data and product engineering teams to ensure reliable and scalable data collection.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or quantitative analytics roles, ideally at senior or principal level.
- Strong experience in B2C, marketplace, or subscription-based product environments.
- Deep expertise in experimentation design and execution, with a strong understanding of statistical principles.
- Proven ability to define metrics frameworks and align them across cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience with product instrumentation, tracking design, and data governance.
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R for analysis.
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as LightDash, Looker, Tableau, or similar.
- Ability to connect product analytics insights directly to financial and business outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and building structure from scratch.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance analytical workflows is highly valued.
- Nice to have: experience in travel, telecom, marketplace, or usage-based businesses; familiarity with dbt or experimentation platforms; exposure to causal inference methods beyond A/B testing.
Benefits:
- Fully remote work within Spain or eligible locations (Romania, UK also considered depending on eligibility).
- Opportunity to shape product analytics at scale in a global, high-growth environment.
- High level of ownership and direct impact on product and business strategy.
- Access to modern data stack tools and freedom to experiment with new approaches.
- Strong culture of autonomy, trust, and data-driven decision-making.
- Learning and development opportunities in a rapidly evolving analytics organization.
- Collaboration with experienced cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and data.
- Inclusive and international work environment focused on impact and innovation.
