About This Position
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth front‑of‑house operations. This role manages reservations, organizes seating, and supports the service team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
*Key Responsibilities
*Greet guests warmly and provide an inviting first impression
*Manage waitlists and reservations using seating software or manual systems
*Escort guests to tables and present menus
*Communicate seating flow with servers and management
*Answer phone calls and provide accurate information about the restaurant
*Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
*Assist with guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests
*Support overall dining room flow to ensure efficient service
