About This Position
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Stocker is responsible for receiving, organizing, and stocking merchandise at Bonanza Express Store. Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Evening and weekend work may be required as the schedule demands.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain and manage the storage conditions of merchandise received
- Maintain the cleanliness of the store
- Sorts and stocks merchandise on shelves and storage room
- Haul freight from truck to storage room
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to effectively and professionally assist customers in this type of environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with others.
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up. Ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and professionally.
- Active listening skills; attentiveness when listening to others to understand, ask appropriate questions, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- Must be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. and lift heavy boxes.
- Must have great customer service
- 1 year in related experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background screening and credit check.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
