- Own the FP&A function across the full early-stage oncology portfolio, spanning discovery research, preclinical development, IND-enabling programs, and Phase I/II clinical trials
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Chief Scientific Officer, Head of Clinical Development, and SVP of Tech Ops, providing financial insight and decision support tied to asset progression and portfolio prioritization
- Lead program-level and portfolio-level financial modeling, including cost-to-complete analyses, risk-adjusted NPV assessments, and scenario planning around key preclinical and early clinical inflection points such as IND filings, RP2D determinations, and preliminary efficacy signals
- Oversee financial management of CDMO and CRO relationships supporting IND-enabling toxicology, drug substance/drug product manufacturing scale-up, and Phase I/II clinical execution, including governance of budgets, change orders, and milestone payment schedules
- Drive the annual operating budget, mid-year reforecast and multi-year long-range plan, working cross-functionally with research, CMC, translational medicine, regulatory, and clinical teams to align financial projections with program timelines and go/no-go criteria
- Develop and maintain capital runway models and cash burn analyses to support treasury planning, board reporting, and investor communications at a stage where capital efficiency is critical
- Build and refine FP&A infrastructure including forecasting tools, program tracking systems, and reporting cadences suited to the pace and uncertainty of early-stage drug development
- Present financial results, program spend analyses, and strategic scenarios to the leadership team
- Partner with accounting colleagues to build financial discipline and cross-functional partnership skills appropriate for a fast-moving early-stage biotech environment
- Support business development activities including in-licensing diligence, sponsored research agreement structuring, and collaboration deal modeling focused on early-stage oncology assets
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience within biotech or pharma space
- Experience supporting R&D, clinical development, or other multiprogram environments
- Experience with biotech planning cycles (e.g., program budgeting, CRO/CMO forecasting) preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems, planning tools, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
