Credit Underwriting Intern at Ephrata National Bank – Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Summary:

Provides support to the Credit Underwriting team. Will learn several job roles within the Credit department and supporting departments. Engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level. Receive training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.

Essential Functions:

• Support the Sr. Credit Analyst and Underwriting team in the completion of Annual Reviews and Renewals.
• Update the 2026 Annual Review and Renewal excel queue.
• Perform entry-level credit tasks, under supervision of professional staff, as appropriate to the day-to-day needs of the department.
• Review of ENB Loan Policy and Underwriting Guidelines
• Partner with the Agricultural, Commercial, and Small Business Lending departments on external site visits.
• Undertake a professional internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain exposure to the financial services industry and obtain applicable professional experience.
• Provide entry- to intermediate-level professional services, under supervision of professional staff and/or faculty personnel, as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the unit.
• Undertakes and/or participates in projects and programs within the department that are designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization.
• Interact directly with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
• Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from professional personnel in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
• As appropriate to the position and as specified by unit management, conduct original research and prepares reports based on findings, to include recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• May undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the specific objectives of the operating unit.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

• Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Business Development/Sales, or another comparable field, studies highly desirable.
