POSITION SUMMARY: We’re looking for an experienced Flooring Estimator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, completing detailed takeoffs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and multifamily flooring projects.
You’ll analyze project requirements, review blueprints, coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and develop clear, competitive proposals that support profitable bids. This role plays a key part in keeping projects on budget and setting teams up for success from the start. Strong attention to detail, solid flooring knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and clients are essential.

Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Evaluate project drawings / specifications to determine complete scope of work.
- Perform accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates using RFMS, Excel, and Outlook. Training and onboarding support provided.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Ensure estimates align with project requirements and support company profitability goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to meet deadlines and finalize competitive bids.
- Communicate effectively with sales, project managers, and clients to clarify scope and expectations.
- Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and cost data for reporting and future reference.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of estimating experience
- Strong ability to read architectural plans and blueprints
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating software (RFMS preferred)
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective time-management and multitasking abilities
