Description:

National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriages worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its mission.

Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Location: Orlando, FL (MCO)

Department: Maintenance Administration

Reports To: GSE Tooling Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator performs a variety of analytical and clerical functions that are necessary to assure the proper day to day operations of the Facilities Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Support Programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the Facilities Maintenance shipping and receiving areas as well as the Facilities stockroom.
  • Coordinates work schedules with contractors, manage and supervises internal labor as required to meet schedules and budgets.
  • Perform duties as assigned incidental to the receipt, storage, issuance, transfer and shipping of facilities stock
  • Completes and maintains records, forms and reports (by computer or otherwise) necessary to accomplish assigned duties.
  • Identifies materials and supplies needed for projects.
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks of a general nature, such as servicing, cleaning and repairing the facility.
  • Ensures that all work is performed to National Airlines’ quality standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes and actively engages in continuous improvement activities.
  • Additional functions as delegated by the Manager of Facilities, GSE, & Tooling.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid state driver’s license and meet the company’s insurability requirements.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand OEM maintenance and parts manuals.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer relations skills required.
  • A flexible work schedule may include working overtime, nights, on weekends, holidays, and being on call.
  • Knowledge of use of PPE and safety protocol related to the possible exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, vapors, or mists that could potentially affect the health of the employee.
  • 3-5 years’ experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified in the essential functions.
  • Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.

Physical Demands:

  • Heavy physical activity is required by handling objects up to 70 pounds occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. (Medium to Heavy)
  • Squatting, stair climbing, standing and sitting frequently.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse/ Stockroom
  • Aircraft noise
  • Work shifts may vary – Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
