About This Position

We are seeking a Production Planner for a direct hire opportunity in New Britain, CT.
Pay: $70-95K based on experience
Schedule: Mon – Fri (7 am -4 pm)

Overview: The Production planner manages the ERP system to meet customer needs. In addition, this candidate will need to expediate orders through manufacturing as required to meet customer delivery requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule production jobs and workflow
  • Develop shop schedules – by creating and maintaining work orders.
  • Review work order action required report and ensured due dates are aligned with the customer requirements.
  • Determine if the dates are realistic and achievable to available capacity and resources. Issue material requisitions to purchasing.
  • The production planner schedules product lines to meet changing monthly forecasts while managing inventory levels.
  • Create weekly production timetable.
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products, as well as planning and prioritizing operations in a manner that guarantees maximum performance with reduced delay. Design weekly manufacturing plan to meet target load objectives and satisfy the organization’s inventory and shipment plan goals.
  • Support customer service on new customer requests inside of standard lead time.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to track performance and identify work orders slipping and determine plans to get back on schedule working with production departments as required.
  • Maintain promise dates on customer portal (PWA SNC System)
Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology Preferred
  • 2 years production planning experience in an aerospace organization.
  • 2-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment and ERP/MRP system
  • Experience with Epicor a plus
