In this crucial role, you will provide expert legal guidance and support in litigation, ensuring that our partner company navigates complex legal challenges effectively. Your contributions will significantly enhance the efficiency of the legal department and directly impact the company's ability to achieve its business objectives. You will work collaboratively with the management team, external counsel, and various stakeholders to devise strategies that mitigate risks and resolve disputes proactively. This position is designed for a highly skilled legal professional who is able to thrive in a remote working environment while remaining dedicated to service excellence.Accountabilities
  • Provide consulting services on potential commercial issues and preventative legal matters.
  • Select and coordinate external counsel for litigation matters.
  • Report regularly on litigation status, benchmarks, and financial metrics.
  • Review legal documents and determine necessary filings with local counsel.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
  • Conduct internal investigations and prepare responses to third parties.
  • Enhance legal service delivery through preventative actions and early issue resolution.
  • Communicate effectively while maintaining professional relationships with associates and external partners.
Requirements
  • Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and current state bar membership.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in commercial litigation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all management levels.
  • Proficient in applying regulations and policies in practical situations.
  • Willingness to travel for corporate office visits as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
