About This Position

1 Full-Time Closing Date: 01/15/2026 Summary: The Employee Relations Supervisor represents a senior level contributor and functional leader in human resources. The incumbent will supervise the areas of employee relations and training and will be a working member of the team. The incumbent will contribute and execute plans related to building our team members, providing consistency in our policy application, positive company culture, etc. The position will oversee and assist in the execution of minimizing risk.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for personnel functions such as interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, development, supervision, delegations, evaluations, and disciplinary actions; will perform these functions in a timely manner.
Responsible for executing and contributing to the overall success of the employee relations and training endeavors.
Recommends and implements training and process improvements based on organizational objectives.
Responsible for ensuring consistent compliance with the progressive discipline program.
Provides insight to supervisors and management on the impact of their participation
on-participation of employee relations endeavors.
Provides supervisors and managers support and guidance in the areas of team member issues, operational needs, team member performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.
Responsible for success of unemployment program by monitoring or delegating unemployment claims, sends responses timely and accurately, and represents the company during the adjudication process and in unemployment appeals.
Responsible for tracking and fulfilling appeal requirements within policy; gather and distribute documents and/or information for all appeals.
Plans, arranges, conducts, and concludes investigations related to workplace misconduct and in compliance with best practices, laws, policies, procedures, etc.
Identifies trends in items that surface or makes suggestions in an effort to find long-term solutions.
Coordinates and conducts team member training.
Assists with drafting training curriculum and acknowledgements.
Responsible for tracking training attendees, enters information into files (electronic personnel files), etc.
Gathers, produces, and disburses training materials.
Collect data and report on training utilization and effectiveness.
Compiles and enters information into the computer system and HRIS database.
Oversight of and participates in minimizing risk for CTFC.
Conducts research of employment trends, legislative actions, and other information that may influence human resources programs.
Researches, develops, and maintains professional relationships to support future endeavors.
Develops and compiles reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Maintains accurate and organized file system.
Makes decisions that comply with laws, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practices within the scope of human resources management in a tribal gaming and corporate environment.
Operates and maintains office equipment, including but not limited to: computer, programmable telephone system, programmable fax and multi-use photocopier.
Interprets policies and procedures and perform some of the duties of the Director when absent.
Demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of their work.
Responsible for ensuring that work duties are completed in a fair, unbiased, and consistent manner.
Must maintain confidentiality.
Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
Must be at least 18 years or older.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Requires a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with three (3) years of progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully fulfill the essential functions of the position; OR
Requires a combination of eight (8) years of progressive responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Requires one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language.
Well-developed human relation skills to convey technical concepts to others, to deal with sensitive and confidential information, to give instructions and training, and to facilitate training and discussions in individual and group settings.
Special skill at facilitating small group processes, for resolving problems with quantitative and qualitative dimensions, and optimizing teamwork with diverse groups of staff.
Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines.
Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends.
Excellent spelling and grammar abilities.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be computer literate with intermediate proficiency in Windows based programs.
Ability to operate office equipment and HRIS database.
Must have an in-depth and strong working knowledge of Tribal and Federal laws to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, ordinances and established policies and procedures.
Ability to be fair, consistent, honest, and unbiased.
Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position in order to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with HR goals and objectives.
Ability to work various shifts including evenings, holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must successfully complete Title 31, Banking Secrecy Act training upon hire and annually.
Must possess a current and valid Tribal Gaming License.
Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
Ability to frequently sit for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to occasionally walk or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to frequently bend, squat and reach.
Ability to push and pull frequently.
Ability to comprehend complex issues.
Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on radio/telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
Must be able to drive in adverse weather conditions.
Periodically exposed to high levels of noise and tobacco smoke.
