Per Diem / On-Call Pharmacist

The Per Diem Pharmacist reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge/Pharmacy Manager and supports daily pharmacy operations.

Requirements

• BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy
  
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy
  
• Successful completion of internship requirements and NAPLEX (and state law exam)
  
• Ability to pass background checks (criminal, Medicare exclusion, fingerprinting)
  
• Preferred: 3–5 years of retail, independent, or clinical pharmacy experience

• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
  
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and third-party billing (or willingness to learn)
  
• Solid knowledge of medications, dosing, interactions, and counseling
  
• Ability to perform basic pharmacy math
  

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately
  
• Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications
  
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff as needed
  
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations (HIPAA, DEA, etc.)
  
• Maintain inventory, workflow, and a clean, safe pharmacy environment
  

Work Environment

• Retail pharmacy setting; standing and lifting up to 25 lbs required
  
• Flexible scheduling, including coverage for vacations, sick days, and peak needs
  
• English required; Spanish a plus

Rate of Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
