About This Position

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant who ideally has experience with lease accounting to join our Finance team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ASC 842, supporting the month-end close process, and collaborating cross-functionally to maintain financial accuracy and process efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting principles, analytical skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record journal entries related to equity transactions, share-based compensation, payroll, and debt activity.
  • Reconcile equity, payroll, and debt accounts, including stock-based compensation, wages payable, interest, and issuance cost amortization.
  • Maintain rollforwards and supporting schedules for equity activity, payroll accruals, and debt balances.
  • Coordinate with third-party providers, including payroll processors, equity administrators, and lenders, to obtain and reconcile reports.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Assist with financial statement disclosures, audit requests, and lender or regulatory reporting.
  • Participate in process improvements and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a corporate environment.
  • Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP, including equity and payroll accounting concepts.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CPA candidate.
  • Experience in Data Center, Technology Infrastructure, or Energy Operations industries.
  • Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) and operating cost allocation.

  • Digital Literacy: Uses productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, ticketing systems) for communication and documentation in office or hybrid settings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.
