About This Position
FEV North America, Inc., is seeking a qualified ADAS Test Engineering Assistant to join our ADAS/AD group as a full-time employee. At FEV, ADAS Test Engineering Assistants are an integral part of a variety of interesting and challenging projects regarding evaluation of vehicle and pedestrian safety. A FEV ADAS Test Engineering Assistant supports the development, integration, testing and performance evaluation of ADAS features in project vehicles, and utilizes their technical skills to validate and present solutions for ADAS/AD programs. Expect hands-on work experience working with the project vehicles, following multiple processes in variable test environments for ADAS performance evaluation. The ADAS Test Engineering Assistant will simultaneously be involved in multiple projects as well as having direct interaction with customers.
Job Responsibilities:
· Test strategy, planning and coordination (test routes, test methodology) for testing of performance for each safety feature
· Testing of ADAS features design based on its functionality, specific step-by-step evaluation process, requirements, and system design
· Reporting and presentation of ADAS testing results based on industry and customer quality standards
· Instrumentation, integration, and troubleshooting of vehicle electrical systems, components, and wiring
· Support technical discussions with customers in ADAS testing phase
· Traveling is required based on the projects needs
Requirements:Required Qualifications:
· Pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
· Understanding of ADAS and AD ECU
· Experience in ADAS systems vehicle testing and bench testing
· Expertise in test evaluation and validation. Test case preparation and equipment integration following specific testing processes
· Follow quality standards and requirements based on customer necessity
· Be able to work in this role for 6+ months
Preferred Qualifications:
· Pursuing a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
· Experience with instrumentation, ADAS sensor integration and testing
· ADAS/AD Feature Testing - NCAP Testing
· Experience with ADAS sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, Radar, GPS, among others
