This role is responsible for leading the execution and oversight of domestic and international tax compliance activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with global regulations. The Manager, Tax will partner closely with internal business leads and external CPA firms to maintain compliance in a dynamic, fast-growing SaaS environment. This position manages cross-border tax initiatives, supervises external partners, and drives global, cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate combines technical tax expertise with strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex intercompany and international tax matters. Operating in a collaborative environment, this role provides financial insights, supports strategic tax planning, and ensures the business remains compliant across multiple jurisdictions while optimizing processes.
Accountabilities:
  • Oversee US domestic (Federal and State) and international income tax compliance.
  • Supervise completion of indirect tax filings, including US sales tax and VAT returns.
  • Manage cross-border intercompany tax compliance, including adherence to transfer pricing agreements and intercompany agreements.
  • Partner with external CPA firms, managing scope, fees, and quality of work while conducting operational reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Research tax regulations and respond to internal and external inquiries on tax matters.
  • Assist in preparation and review of US Tax Provision and reconciliations between book and tax.
  • Implement process, system, policy, and internal control improvements to support scalable compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis for timely close and forecast relating to tax expense and cash taxes.
  • Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, Accounting, Business Systems, People, and Sales teams on tax planning initiatives and compliance matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Taxation, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in tax functions, ideally within a SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and cross-border tax implications.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at an international Public Accounting firm (Big 4 or mid-tier).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities.
