This role sits at the intersection of global talent strategy, immigration compliance, and operational design, leading how international mobility is delivered across a fast-scaling, multi-country organization. You will own the end-to-end global mobility function, shaping both its strategic direction and day-to-day execution model. The position requires building scalable systems and processes that support employee relocation, immigration sponsorship, and cross-border work arrangements. You will work closely with HR, legal, tax, and business leaders to ensure mobility decisions are compliant, efficient, and aligned with business growth. A strong focus is placed on automation, AI-driven tools, and modernizing legacy workflows to improve speed and accuracy. - Design and manage the global mobility operating model, including internal resources, external vendors, and outsourcing strategies
- Oversee end-to-end immigration programs across multiple visa types and geographies, including US and international pathways
- Serve as the primary advisor to HRBPs and senior leaders on global mobility strategy, compliance, and talent movement decisions
- Monitor global immigration, tax, and regulatory changes, ensuring proactive risk mitigation and compliance across all mobility activities
- Lead international relocation and cross-border work arrangements in collaboration with tax, legal, and HR teams
- Own business travel compliance frameworks, including work authorization, visa requirements, and permanent establishment risk
- Drive automation and AI adoption to streamline mobility operations and reduce manual processes
- Manage external legal and tax vendors, including SLA definition, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Optimize mobility workflows within Workday and related HR systems to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency
- Build scalable reporting and operational visibility for leadership on mobility activity and risk exposure
- 7+ years of experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, or international HR operations
- Strong expertise in US and Canadian immigration processes, with knowledge of global mobility frameworks
- Proven experience designing and scaling operational programs in complex, multi-country environments
- Strong understanding of immigration compliance, tax implications, and cross-border employment risks
- Experience managing external legal and service vendors, including performance and SLA oversight
- Hands-on experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms and case management systems
- Strong interest or experience in AI, automation, and technology-driven process improvement
- Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders on complex compliance and talent mobility decisions
- Strong systems thinking and ability to design scalable, process-driven solutions
- Excellent communication skills with a consultative and business-partner mindset
- Competitive base salary range: $114,200 – $152,800 USD depending on experience and location
