Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable I.T. Operations Manager to lead and oversee our organizations I.T. operations, including Help Desk services, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. This position is 40 hours per week and based out of our Lewiston Office.
Essential Duties:
- Perform the usual duties of a manager by leading, motivating, and implementing the Agency’s policies and procedures, managing budget, maximizing performance and morale, and ensuring compliance of rules and regulations.
- Responsible for leading Help Desk operations to ensure timely, high-quality resolution of user issues, lead cybersecurity program, and oversee Microsoft cloud environments.
- Responsible for directing the administration and ongoing management of the network, telecommunications, and infrastructure systems (LAN/WAN/VPN, servers, storage, and virtualization); ensure high availability, performance, and reliability; and oversee advanced troubleshooting, fault resolution, and vendor-supported issue management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the agency and external IT vendors, including managing vendor performance and service delivery.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or minimum 7 years related job experience in I.T.
- 7 to 10 years’ experience with networking, server, and VOIP systems is required
- Network + CCNP, and/or Microsoft associate level certification(s) or higher preferred
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience
Other Requirements: experience with virtual systems such as VMware or Hyper-V; strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft O365, and Microsoft Azure; experience with Meraki network devices; experience with Ubiquiti switches and wireless access points; must be a self-starter and ability to work as part of a team, independently, and as a leader; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work positively with people with varying levels of computer competencies and at all organizational levels; pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
