Position Summary:
The Quality Technician, Level II will evaluate and report on the quality of products throughout both the Hendrix Road facility and Becker Road Waveguide division. They will participate in the support of the entire course in manufacturing wherever quality support is required. It is up to this position to perform inspections where needed, review work instructions, interpret the company quality standards, engineering diagrams, and specifications for the products. The position will assist in creating and executing appropriate quality inspections and processes according to those inputs. If there is an issue, they must compile data and report to the Quality Manager for discussion and make recommendations that help to bring about positive changes in quality processes. This position will support the functions of the Quality Department to meet the requirements of the relevant ISO 9001:2015 standards for quality based on the quality objectives established by Top Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with both corporate internal and external customers, at both Hendrix and Becker Road facilities, taking part in the inspection of quality processes and operation of quality equipment where needed.
- Assists with internal and external quality audits per the Quality Assurance Mangers discretion.
- Maintains records of calibration of quality control equipment, and coordinates with other departments.
- Evaluate inspection data noting relevant deviations from standards and prepare inspection sheets and advise on quality processes needed.
- Promote continuous improvement by identifying areas for quality control improvement and help implement new methods.
- Ability to use and teach others how to use measurement devices, at incoming inspection as well as in production.
- Perform the incoming RMA process, collaborate with Customer support, and oversee inventory control of returned merchandise.
- Write quality documents such as Inspection sheets, Deviations and Waivers, CAPAs, NCMRs, RMAs etc.
- Update job knowledge with training opportunities both internal and external.
- Follow instructions but also be a self-motivated team member working to achieve corporate goals.
- Perform Particle counts, records, and report data to support the standards of the cleanroom at Becker Road.
- Meets required ISO 9001:2015 standards and necessary training based on the relevant Quality Objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Math, computer, and analytical skills.
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
- Internal and external auditing abilities
- Attention to detail, blueprint reading.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or other 2-year degree, or equivalent firsthand practical experience.
- 5-7 years’ experience with production inspection and GD&T knowledge.
- Basic 6s and CPI methods.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Minimal monitoring and training quality inspectors when needed for incoming and in process inspection.
Travel: Negligible.
Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit, speak, hear, see, and perform repetitive motion (data entry). Occasionally required to lift or carry (30 lb. minimum). Adequate color vision and acuity. Reasonable accommodation will be made available if applicable.
