Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North TX 75013
Work hours: Full Time- 40 Hours/week; Days, Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts with on call requirements
Surgery highlights:
• Fast-Paced, high-volume department
• The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs.
• The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient's affiliations.
Here's What You Need
• Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
• 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in the Operating Room working (Preferred)
• CNOR Certification (Preferred)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
What You Will Do
• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
