Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, skilled General Handyman / Demo & Repair Technician with experience in interior demolition and finish restoration. This role involves removing and reinstalling walls, tile, drywall, and finishes as part of residential and light commercial repair projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable with demo work and restoring the space cleanly and professionally afterward.

This is not a rough-in-only role — we’re looking for someone who can demo, repair, and finish with attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Perform interior demolition including:

    • Removing drywall, tile, backer board, and minor framing

    • Selective demo around plumbing, electrical, and structural elements

  • Reinstall and restore finishes, including:

    • Drywall hanging, taping, mudding, sanding

    • Tile installation (walls, floors, backsplashes, showers)

    • Basic framing repairs as needed

  • Paint and finish repaired areas to blend with existing surfaces

  • Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and organized at all times

  • Work independently or alongside plumbing and repair teams

  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and report job progress

  • Follow safety procedures and job specifications

Required Experience & Skills
  • 3+ years of general handyman, remodeling, or repair experience

  • Strong drywall skills (hang, tape, mud, sand)

  • Tile demo and reinstallation experience (ceramic, porcelain preferred)

  • Interior painting and finish touch-up experience

  • Basic framing knowledge

  • Ability to measure, cut, and install materials accurately

  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Experience working alongside plumbers or restoration crews

  • Knowledge of moisture barriers, backer board, and tile waterproofing

  • Experience matching textures and paint finishes

  • Trade certifications or construction training

What We Offer
  • Competitive pay based on experience

  • Consistent, year-round work

  • Professional, organized job scheduling

  • Opportunity for growth as workload increases

  • Team environment with clear expectations and support

Ideal Candidate Traits
  • Takes pride in clean, finished work

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional

  • Can work independently without constant supervision

  • Understands that “done right” matters more than “done fast”
