About This Position
DIMOR Group comprises our suite of Companies headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan. WACO Aircraft is the world's only manufacturer of 1930's era biplanes. Our planes are carefully and skillfully built by hand. Centennial Aircraft Service is a Part 145 Repair Station and does everything from restoring vintage aircraft to providing new avionics and engines to current aircraft.
What you will do
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will play a critical role in he logistics and supply chain process by ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and maintaining organized records to support the smooth operation of the shipping and receiving department. Onsite position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments in accordance with company standards.
• Generate shipping labels and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify the accuracy of contents.
• Record and process receipts in the inventory management system.
• Update and maintain accurate inventory records for all received and shipped items.
• Monitor and report inventory levels and assist in conducting regular physical counts.
• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Coordinate and schedule shipments with various carriers and freight forwarders.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specifications. Report and address any discrepancies or damages.
• Communicate with internal teams to coordinate the movement of goods and resolve any issues.
• Establish a working relationship with carriers and vendors to address shipping-related inquiries.
• Verifies purchase order numbers and lot numbers.
• Builds crates for outgoing shipments.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all shipping and receiving activities.
• Generate and submit reports on shipping and inventory metrics.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during the handling and storage of materials. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• All other duties as assigned by management or as necessary to meet the organization’s needs.
What we are looking for
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics a plus
• Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees
• Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance
• Ability to obtain airport access badge
• Physical: Routinely lifts up to 25 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs.; read small print; repetitive motion; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
• Excited about aviation
