About the role

The Project Manager will take the lead in driving new product development (NPD) schedules, guiding projects from early exploration through sustain engineering and all the way to deployment. From defining requirements to launching the final solution, this role will shape clear schedules, scopes, and implementation plans using a structured phase-gate NPD process to keep everything moving forward with focus and momentum.

They’ll rally and lead a cross-functional NPD team to perform at their best—bringing clarity of purpose, strong direction, and real motivation to every stage of the project. This role will build and own product roadmap schedules, map out critical path milestones, and keep everyone aligned with consistent tracking and transparent status updates throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Just as importantly, the Project Manager will build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key client stakeholders—serving as the go-to contact for day-to-day updates, progress reports, and any changes along the way.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Projects

  • Manage project scope and objectives.
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan through utilization of project management tools like Asana adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed through Asana.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan.
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.

Resource/Budget Management

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • 5-8 years of project management and related experience.
  • Experience in developing platforms for internal processes.
  • Proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices like Asana.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 130,000 USD per year(Norco, CA)
