About This Position
The University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurobiology (http://www.neurobio.pitt.edu/) is seeking an exceptional candidate to develop and grow outstanding research programs specifically focused on the neurobiology of pain. The department is particularly interested in the development of 2P imaging of neural activity in the dorsal horn with the view of understanding somatosensory integration. Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree in Neurobiology, Pharmacology, or a related field and have demonstrated excellence in population imaging and analysis. Applicants must have at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Appointments will be made in the Department of Neurobiology of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (http://www.neurobio.pitt.edu/) at the Research Assistant Professor level, commensurate with qualifications. Salary and start-up package are highly competitive. Successful applicants will be encouraged to obtain extramural funding, establish a competitive research program, and participate in graduate and medical education.
