Job Summary / Essential Functions

Performs and interprets routine diagnostic assays on blood and body fluids,

Performs all duties related to the preparation, identification, and testing of specimens,

Performs all related documentation tasks,

Provides technical guidance non-certified staff, new employees and students,

Performs additional tasks as requested,

Education

Has education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by CMS in the Clinical Lab Improvement Act CLIA of 1988 and NJSDH requirements,

Bachelor s in medical technology or Associates with qualifying bachelor level coursework and certification by a category 1 agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, HIS/HEW,

Blood Bank Experience highly preferred
