The Role
Own standards reality.
You are the same-day execution authority on property.
You enforce daily readiness, QA pass/fail, staffing coverage, and immediate correction across all on-site teams. You are fair, firm, and visiblecreating operational calm under pressure.
When execution breaks, you do not theorize, defer, or escalate reflexively. You take control, stabilize the situation, assign owners, and ensure resolution before the next operating day.
You do not manage by meetings. You manage by inspection, consequence, and closure.
What You Own
Daily Readiness:
- Units and grounds guest-ready, on timeevery day.
- Zero well fix it later.
QA Enforcement (Pass / Fail):
- Cleanliness, maintenance closure quality, and experience standards.
- Same-day correction required.
- Repeat failures escalate to personnel action.
Staffing & Coverage:
- Hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and real-time coverage.
- Call-outs handled immediately.
- Right people in the right rolesevery shift.
Exception Handling (Same-Day Command):
- Guest-impacting issues, cross-team breakdowns, or readiness failures.
- You coordinate response, assign ownership, and confirm resolution before end of day.
- Escalation is a tool, not a reflex.
Closure Quality Control:
- Work is not done unless it prevents recurrence.
- You reject cosmetic fixes, workarounds, or partial closures.
- Durable resolution is required before sign-off.
Immediate Correction:
- Real-time feedback and fixes.
- Coach gaps fast. Correct misses faster. Exit non-fits decisively.
- Emotional? No. Consistent? Always.
Systems & Process Improvement (Interim Ownership): Temporarily own process improvement and SOP clarity only where execution breaks.
- When standards fail twice, you either fix the process or remove the person.
- Systems are improved to eliminate repeat failurenot to optimize hypotheticals.
- Long-term system architecture transitions out of this role as specialized ownership is added.
Rule: The person enforcing the standard owns improving the process that keeps it from breakinguntil scale justifies specialization.
Founder Interface & Decision Boundaries
Founders retain ultimate authority over leadership, brand, and guest experience and may intervene at any time.
This role exists to remove founders from day-to-day enforcement, not decision rights.
Escalation to Founders Occurs Only When:- Guest safety or legal exposure is present
- Brand reputation risk exceeds on-site authority
- A decision materially changes guest promise or brand standards
Routine performance enforcement does not escalate by default.
Once founders align on standards, this role executes them without re-litigation.
