Position Summary:The Distribution Manager position develops, implements, and manages logistic strategies designed to ensure continuous distribution of product consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Manages and coordinates the order processing and distribution of products. Assigns supervisor's specific duties, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

Position Summary:The Distribution Manager position develops, implements, and manages logistic strategies designed to ensure continuous distribution of product consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Manages and coordinates the order processing and distribution of products. Assigns supervisor's specific duties, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory.Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees activities of employees engaged in shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading trucks and in storing, retrieving, packing, and distributing finished goods
- Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming production products and assembling customer orders for delivery
- Ensures orderly stacking/storage of product, picking and staging of outgoing shipments in accordance with high level of productivity and that incoming and outgoing shipments are complete and free of damage
- Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, analyzes warehouse inventory, and provides reports showing slow-moving and/or surplus stock
- Oversees reclamation of damaged merchandise
- Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to plan work activities
- Manages policies and procedures that result in the maximization of sales through timely deliveries.
- Timely and efficiently maintains accurate and necessary department records and documentation
- Recommends measures to improve distribution methods, equipment performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency
- Ensures appropriate maintenance of equipment and a clean and safe work environment
- Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices
- May hire, train, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action
- Coordinates activities with sales, record control, purchasing, and transportation departments
- Optimize and coordinate fulfillment order lifecycle
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service
- Ensure that all products and services are consistent and meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations
- Assess opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency
- Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate degree or equivalent experience/education combination
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in distribution management
- Demonstrated ability to drive results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with tight scheduling requirements
- On-Site work (No Remote work available)
