Quality Control Inspector – Second Shift

Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or experience in quality inspection preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment, preferably in injection molding or plastics.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent visual acuity.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive inspection tasks.

Requirements:Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measure and monitor variations in product characteristics and advise Shift Supervisor and QA Manager of out-of-specification variations with a variety of inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and other specialized inspection gauges
- Documents degree of conformance and non-conformance
- Ensures workstations have necessary quality and packaging specifications
- Interface with manufacturing on quality problems and specific product quality requirements
- First piece production approval and routine filing of inspection files
- Data entry
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience in plastics or other related QA field with the ability to use standard measuring equipment (micrometers, dial indicators, plug and thread gauges, optical comparator, vernier and dial calipers, depth micrometers, and hard gauges)
