ATA Services Inc is currently seeking to hire experienced Registered Nurses to work on a temporary assignment in Northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico.
- Pay Rate: $59.21 per hour with weekly pay
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment End Date: June 30, 2026
- Job Location: Northeast Albuquerque
- Scheduling and working requirements:
- Two shifts available: 6:30am – 3:00pm, 2:30pm – 11:00pm
- No travel is required, and all staff are expected to work at the NMDOH facility.
Job Responsibilities:
To assure high-quality nursing care for all residents in compliance with accepted
licensure and professional standards of medical and psychiatric nursing practice for adolescents; utilizes the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Conducting thorough medical assessments, intervention, follow-up care, and documentation.
- Updating treatment plans according to training provided by Director of Nursing and submitting them every week.
- Demonstrating competence with all nursing procedures and equipment utilized at Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center.
- Adheres to all Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates competency in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) so that work can be done in a timely way.
Follow Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center, Board of Nursing and Board of
Pharmacy policies, protocols, and regulations in the administration and management of medication.
- Adhering to facility, professional and legal standards related to medication administration and prevention of medication errors.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of ordering and receiving medication from contracted pharmacies.
- Adheres to applicable procedures for storage, return and disposal of medications.
- Performing a thorough assessment of residents before giving PRN (As needed) medication; and documenting such assessment in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR).
- Assuring consents are signed for all psychotropic, non-psychotropic, and over the counter medication given.
Assures the completion of all interventions and tasks regarding care of residents.
- Completing assigned treatment plans before pre-treatment team meeting every week.
- Areas to be documented in treatment plan include but are not limited to; Medication regime and compliance; Report on outside appointments or consultations; Any lab or imaging results and immunizations needed; nursing education provided; and the general physical health of the resident, including height, weight, body mass index, vital signs and any injuries sustained.
- Working cooperatively and professionally as a team nurse to ensure all shift duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Providing nursing coverage in a 24/7 facility as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Accepting duties assigned by Director of Nursing, Administrator, and/or Administrator on call to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our residents and to maintain systems running smoothly at the Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center.
- Promotes a professional working environment and is proactive in discussing issues in team meetings and with the Director of Nursing. This includes maintaining an attitude of professionalism by not participating in gossip; by treating all co-workers and supervisors with respect, and by communicating openly in a way that demonstrates fundamental respect for people and sincere care and concern.
Demonstrates nursing competency and skill reinforcement by:
- Completing Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center annual and refresher training, including any necessary training required by the Director of Nursing.
- Participating in personal restraints and seclusions; obtaining and recording orders; performing and documenting initial and follow-up assessments and treatment; reporting accurately and timely to Administrator and outside agencies, as applicable.
- Completing incident management forms completely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
