Position Title: Manager - Pharmacy Finance & Supply

Description

Wage Range: $168,085 - $268,923 per year

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:

Oversees all aspects of medication procurement, inventory management, vendor management, group purchasing organizations (GPO) and wholesaler relationships, automation, drug shortage management, Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) management, revenue integrity partnership, and business and formulary analytics across all EvergreenHealth Pharmacy departments.

Primary Duties:

  1. Responsible for the overall management and coordination of system pharmacy acute and ambulatory revenue, forecasting, and business infrastructure.
  2. Responsible for oversight and supervision of the pharmacy purchasing, inventory management, and automation teams in all pharmacy departments. Provides leadership and direction regarding spend reduction and inventory management strategies.
  3. Assists the Executive Director in determining short and long-range financial targets, cost saving initiatives, and forecast budgeting.
  1. Manages drug recall and shortage mitigation and response strategies.
  2. Manages the pharmacy portion of the patient assistance (free drug) programs.
  3. Partners with the organizations GPO (Premier) on cost saving purchase opportunities.
  4. Manages pharmacy purchase contracts and initiates new contracting opportunities.
  1. Coordinates implementation of automation and technology upgrades and innovations to achieve improved inventory management outcomes.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

  • Washington state Pharmacist license
  • PharmD or bachelors degree
  • Financial analyst, business manager, or other relevant experience
  • Strong communication, mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively communicate with pharmacy staff, leadership and other departments staff and leadership

DESIRED for the position:

  • Management / supervisory or other leadership experience
  • MBA or other finance associated advanced degree
