About This Position

Description:

Summary:

Review the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations in accordance with established practices, processes, regulations, guidelines and standards in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.

Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of new QC processes and procedures.

Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products for conformance to specifications. Assist in chemical inventory management.Compile and analyze laboratory test data; prepare reports and charts to support findings.

Assist with design, testing, and validation of new product formulations or process improvements.

Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Participate in troubleshooting quality issues, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.

Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.

Observe manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and recommend improvements.

Maintain accurate records, data logs, and documentation to support regulatory and internal requirements.

Follow all company safety policies and wear appropriate PPE when in manufacturing or laboratory environments.

Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications.

Discuss changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections.

Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance.

Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods.

Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other STEM related degrees.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook; and basic knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Facilities Management software, Industrial Control software, Computer Aided Manufacturing Software, and Computer Aided Design software.
