Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Freight Associate to join our team. This role is primarily focused on handling inbound and outbound LTL freight, while also supporting general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and values teamwork.
Primary Responsibilities (Freight Processing)
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling
- Receive, verify, and stock inbound LTL freight accurately
- Pull, palletize, strap, and wrap outbound freight orders
- Process shipments, including generating labels, Bills of Lading, and selecting carriers
- Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipping methods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading dock area
- Support additional freight-related tasks as directed by management
Secondary Responsibilities (General Warehouse)
- Perform daily stocking and organization throughout the warehouse
- Assist with order picking, packing, and checking (parcel and customer pickups)
- Support weekly inventory counts and inventory accuracy efforts
- Rotate and organize inventory to maintain proper stock flow (FIFO)
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the facility

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior forklift experience (or ability to become certified)
- At least 1 year of warehouse or inventory experience
- Familiarity with modern warehouse operations
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and move heavier loads with equipment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
- Capability to safely operate equipment and remain alert during shifts
