Registered Nurse RN - Shift Coordinator at Beacon Health System – Kalamazoo, Michigan

Supervises, coordinates, and provides leadership while directing activities of associates.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses daily patient access needs and ensures that appropriate patient care is provided. Provides oversight involving all aspects of nursing department operations.
• Delivers quality patient care and ensures implementation of clinical objectives.
• Delegates appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiencies related to job functions and processes through ongoing monitoring of daily operations.
• Collaborates with department leadership to ensure processes are up to date and followed.
• Participates with ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects and development of plans for improvement.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification.
• AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
