About This Position

WHO is Sound Generations?

We are a comprehensive non-profit organization that serves older adults and people with disabilities in King County. Our mission is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.

We are currently seeking a Program Specialist to join our Community Dining team in Seattle, Washington.

What will YOU do?

The Program Specialist ensures the efficient operation of the program as project, activity and service lead and supports administrative tasks. Assigned projects include leading program surveys researching and collaborating with staff for non-governmental grant applications and managing program volunteers. The position also provides direct assistance to 27 sites and maintains effective communication with clients, volunteers, community partners, and the public.

Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour.

Work Schedule: 20 hours per week, flexible.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, coordinate and perform assigned program projects, activities and services involving 27 site locations. Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and resolve program challenges.
  • Maintain program files, collaborate with other departments and collect and track information for annual funder assessment. Develop and implement plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Gather, collate, and analyze data; prepare reports. Independently provide program information and services to internal audiences, clients/customers, and external agencies and organizations.
  • Perform a variety of program, project, administrative and office support functions. Ensure compliance with program guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Serve as a resource and support for the program's 27 sites, including regular in person visits and remote assistance, troubleshooting, and guidance.
  • Communicate effectively and accurately with program and organizational staff and external representatives and agencies.
  • Perform the work of lower classified positions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience.
