About This Position
Pool Attendant
Status: Full-time/Part Time, Seasonal, hourly (non-exempt)
Reports to: Pool Manager / Director of Fitness
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work will primarily be performed outdoors with temperatures that may range from 70 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit during summer months. There will be exposure to loud noises and sustained elements. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in vigorous physical activities. General standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling movements are required.
Schedule: Candidates must be able to work during pool hours of operation from 9:00am to 8:00pm, 7 days a week. Pool opening and closing shifts require earlier or later start or end times. Shifts are up to 8 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Job Summary
The Nelson Golf & Sports Club (“The Nelson”) is a fine private country club offering premier amenities, including a world-class golf course, exquisite dining, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a vibrant social calendar. We are seeking friendly, outgoing Pool Attendants with excellent communication and customer service skills. Pool Attendants work with a larger team providing concierge services and assisting Members and Guests according to The Nelson’s standards of service. Pool Attendants are the point of contact for all Members and Guests upon arrival to the Pool, and support their needs throughout their visit.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet all Members and Guests upon arrival; properly check in Members, register guests, apply applicable fees, and verify Hotel Guest access in accordance with Club policies.
- Escort Members and Guests to their preferred seating; set up lounge chairs with covers and provide fresh pool towels.
- Maintain full stock of towels, water, sunscreen, and other poolside amenities throughout the day.
- Maintain continuous cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including prompt removal of used towels (placed in designated bins out of Member view), trash, toys, and debris from deck and beach areas.
- Deliver exceptional service to Members and Guests throughout their visit, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism; resolve concerns or escalate to Management as appropriate.
- Assist with pool programs, activities, and special events, including holiday weekends (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and actively contribute to team communication and meetings.
- Report safety concerns or incidents promptly and discreetly; follow all emergency and safety procedures, including incident response and documentation protocols.
- Provide basic first aid or CPR when required (training provided annually).
- Support other Club departments as needed and maintain positive, professional working relationships with team members and leadership.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service field or related areas preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
