About This Position
Job Title: Licensed Professional Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse
Reports to: Director of Operations
Classification: Non-exempt This position will be paid on an hourly basis, bi-weekly, for all hours worked and eligible for overtime. Overtime premium pay is paid to non-exempt employees.
Position Summary: Responsible for prescribed medical treatment and nursing care services to clients.
Tasks / Responsibilities (To include, but not limited to):
· Assess each client’s individual needs on the basis of assessment and data collection to ensure proper admission.
· Implement doctor’s orders, monitor self-administration of specified medication, monitor, record vital signs, and maintain medical/ nursing records.
· Utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively and efficiently.
· Observe clients and document their responses to treatment.
· Communicate with counseling staff on a regular basis regarding patient’s progress and treatment plans.
· Participates in treatment team meetings to coordinate delivery of services.
· Discharge patients in accordance with established policy.
· Serve as role model.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Work cooperatively with other community resources and referral sources to coordinate services to clients.
· Provides crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary.
· Maintain professional standards and follows the policies and procedures of the organization to include all federal, state, and local regulations.
· Maintain current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)/ first aid (FA) certifications and valid renewal for all required certification: LVN credentialing, TB testing, and other job specific required training.

· Knowledge obtained through attainment of applicable state Nurse’s license.

· Exposure to clients infected with Hepatitis B, HIV, TB, or other Infectious Diseases.
Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications
Nursing degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
Valid LPN, License Professional Nurse/ (LVN) Licensed Vocational Nurse.
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)/ Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ First Aid (FA) certification.
Behavioral health/substance used disorder experience is preferred.
