Job Overview:

A radiologic technologist (RT) is a healthcare professional who can help you during imaging tests or radiation therapy sessions. They’ll make sure you’re safe, comfortable and in the right position for your test or treatment. An RT might specialize in one specific type of test or area of medicine. These individuals can specialize in X-Ray, Cat Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, or Mammography.

As a Radiologic Technologist, a typical day might include:

• Using medical imaging equipment to produce images of tissues and vessels.
• Preparing equipment as needed for use, positioning patients for imaging, ensuring patient safety during exams, quality control monitoring of equipment, and assessing Lead aprons for annual inspection and reports.

Qualifications:

Required:

• ARRT Certification

• NJ radiology license required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
