Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton is looking for a bright, energetic medical assistant for a busy pediatric clinic. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a strong work ethic, critical thinking and organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, work independently, and have excellent communication skills. The MA will be familiar with pediatric protocols, vaccine and medication management, VIS. They will need to know lab processes, lab draws and be able to obtain lab swabs. The job will include but is limited to taking VS, EKG, measuring, recording and maintaining growth and development charts. Will answer/ return phone calls, refills and schedule tests and procedures. Hospital and department orientation will be provided. You will be required Monday through Friday 8:00to 5:00 pm.
