About This Position

The team in Richmond BC is looking for a passionate, hard-working Certified Orthodontist on a full-time or part-time basis. Join a state-of-the-art Richmond practice featuring cutting-edge technology including laser dentistry equipment, digital x-rays, VELscope oral cancer screening, and modern treatment rooms with dual wall and overhead TV monitors plus wireless headphones for ultimate patient comfort. Our high-producing practice is led by a certified Invisalign preferred provider and participates in the student dental network program with UBC, SFU, and Kwantlen College, offering unique mentorship opportunities.

The Orthodontist will provide a full range of orthodontic services with the highest quality of care to ensure our patients have a positive, rewarding experience and leave with a smile. The Ideal Orthodontist for our team and practice is skilled in helping patients feel at ease and comfortable, can clearly communicate with both patients and coworkers, and work independently as needed. WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

  • Extended hours until 8pm on select weekdays plus Saturday availability
  • Walk-in friendly practice with full accessibility features
  • Accepts Provincial Health Ministry's low-income assistance patients
  • Electronic claims submission for maximum patient reimbursement
  • Free parking in convenient Richmond location
  • Experienced team providing leadership and mentorship for professional growth
  • Full-time or part-time permanent positions available

COMPENSATION:

Orthodontists are compensated on a fee for service with remuneration starting from 40% collections and higher (depending on experience)


SCHEDULE:

  • 16-40 hours per week
  • 2-5 days per week with flexible scheduling
  • Extended evening hours available
  • Saturday shifts available

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Certified Orthodontist with Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited program, OR successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) equivalency process
  • Registration with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (or in process) - candidates registered in other Canadian provinces welcome
  • Minimum 2 years Canadian orthodontic experience preferred; new graduates welcome with comprehensive mentorship program
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a technology-forward environment
  • Strong communication skills with patients and collaborative team approach
  • Interest in working with diverse patient populations including students and low-income assistance recipients
