About This Position

STAFF RN

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Coordinates, delegates and provides professional care to patients assigned to PPACU in accordance with prescribed, delegated surgical and nursing regimens, and medical center policies. Prepares patients for surgery and cares for them after surgery until ready for discharge from unit. Prepares charts for next days surgical schedule and reviews and contacts patients.
  • EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum Required:
      • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with a current license to practice as an RN in North Carolina.
      • Minimum two years experience and would prefer experience in ICU or telemetry.
      • ACLS, PALS required within 12 months of hire.
      • BCLS required with recertification annually.
    • Preferred:
      • Would prefer ICU, Telemetry experience.
      • BSN and specialty certifications
