Kitchen Supervisor – Job Description
Reports to: Executive Sous Chef
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive Kitchen Supervisor to help manage back-of-house operations and ensure consistency during daily service. This role is ideal for a strong line cook or lead with leadership potential who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Kitchen Supervisor will work closely with the sous chef and chef team to maintain standards, communicate with staff, and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations and prep execution
Lead the team during service and ensure food is executed to standard
Ensure proper station setup, cleanliness, and breakdown procedures are followed
Support inventory counts and communicate low stock or waste issues
Help train and mentor new cooks and prep staff
Maintain health and safety compliance at all times
Jump on the line or assist with prep as needed to support the team
Communicate effectively with FOH managers and Chef team
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in a professional kitchen environment
Experience on multiple stations and ability to lead others
• Food Handler’s Certification required
Strong communication and organization skills
Ability to lead calmly and clearly under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
