- Expected pay for this position is $24.36-$36.53. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the EEG/Sleep Lab Medical Director and the Cardiopulmonary Department Leader. Performs patient follow-up after all tests conducted for the Sleep evaluations or EEG testing that measures outcome of patient (client) services. These parameters would include (but not limited to):
- Patient satisfaction and complaints regarding testing and / or services rendered.
- Timeliness of response to patient's questions, challenges, or concerns.
- Maintain a log or database documenting outcomes and resolutions.
- Institute preventative measures for adverse events.
- Assists sleep lab technologist and EEG techs in challenges concerning artifacts, scoring reliability, patient hook up and other such needs. Scores sleep studies following AASM guidelines to assist night time PSC techs.

Job Specifications
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: R EEG RPSGT from ABRET and the BRPT preferred, RPSGT within 1 year.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be familiar with Polysomnography Computer Systems and protocols. Must know proper sensor attachment, quality control and calibration processes. -
ABILITIES, INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS:- Verbal ability is needed to interpret and understand written physicians' orders and communicate with other health care practitioners about the clinical care of patients, as well as to present educational information to patients, staff, and the public as needed.
- Form perception is needed to interpret written prescription format.
- Clerical perception is needed to prevent errors in reading physician's orders, test reports, progress notes, and other written or printed material utilized in the care of the patient.
- Finger dexterity is needed in handling medical equipment, assembling polysomnographic sensors, and connecting medical equipment to patients.
- A preference for scientific and technical activities is necessary to set up and adapt medical equipment to the patient's needs and apply the physiologic affects of the therapy and procedures to the patient's clinical state, and also to read and comprehend scientific and technical journals of Cardiopulmonary / Sleep medicine to keep informed of new findings in the field.
- A preference for the use of processes and techniques is necessary to follow the policies and standards of care in the administration of Polysomnographic diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to adapt to precise and exacting activities is necessary to follow physician orders and prescriptions for care of the patient, and function as a member of the patient care team.
- Must have the ability to work with a variety of patients of all populations (e.g. developmentally appropriate care, cultural diversity, patients with pain, victims of abuse or neglect, and diagnosis or procedure specific such as patient with congestive heart failure or cesarean delivery).
