About This Position
Precision Science is a full-service contract manufacturing within the animal healthcare industry, including powders, pellets soft chews and liquids. Precision Science, Inc (based in north Phoenix) is seeking a highly driven individual to provide preventive maintenance and troubleshoot both manual and automated equipment between our two (2) facilities during 1st shift.
Position Details:
*Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4pm

KEY DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITES:
*Diagnosing complex malfunctions on a variety of industrial equipment, including PLC
systems, automated machinery, and specialized production tools
*Conducting detailed inspections, lubrication and adjustments on machinery
according to established schedules to prevent breakdowns and optimize equipment
lifespan.
*Interpreting blueprints electrical schematics, and technical manuals to understand
system operations and identify root causes of issues.
* Assisting with installation, modification, and upgrades of industrial equipment,
potentially leading smaller projects.
*Investigating recurring issues to identify underlying problems and implement
corrective action
*Maintaining detailed work orders, documenting repairs, and reporting on equipment
performance and maintenance needs.
*Ensure all safety rules and safe work procedures such as Lockout/Tag out, Confined
Space, PPE are followed by themselves and by others working in and around the
machinery
*Respond quickly to address downtime issues promptly and effectively
*Providing guidance and on-the-job training to lower-level maintenance technicians

QUALIFIACTIONS:
*High school diploma or equivalent.
*Minimum five (5 ) years of experience in a hands-on manufacturing maintenance role.
*Thorough understanding of mechanical principles, electrical systems, hydraulics,
pneumatics and basic programming.
*Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex equipment issues and develop effective
solutions.
*Skilled use of a wide range of tools including wrenches, multimeters, welding
equipment, and specialized maintenance tools.
*Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to
manage work orders and track equipment history.
*Ability to effectively communicate with operators, engineers, and supervisors
regarding equipment issues and maintenance needs.
*Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
*Experience with IQ/OQ in an FDA facility.
*Knowledge of SDS, HACCP and cGMP.
*Experience working with regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, AIB, FDA, EPA).
*Food industry related automated equipment experience preferred i.e. (bottling, rotary
and packaging systems)
REQUIREMENTS:
*Specialization in automation packaging equipment.
*Overtime: As needed by the department
*On call hours: you may be required to be on call to support second shift production. *You will be compensated for all actual hours worked, and may submit mileage
reports when you are required to return to work after working a regular shift.
*Down time: If there is down time in the maintenance department, it is your
responsibility to seek work from your manager.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
*May be required to frequently lift up to 50 pounds at a time and more.
*Hand dexterity and strength.
