About This Position

Biomedical Technician I

Installed, maintained, serviced, troubleshot, and calibrated various diagnostic biomedical equipment by interpreting engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams, and graphic illustrations.
Hourly Pay Rate: $23.08 - $34.04
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a background in Electronics normally acquired through a two-year Associate degree program in electronics or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
  • Prefer prior experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire.
  • Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
  • Must possess a current Arizona Class D driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean driving record without serious offenses within thirty-six (36) months from hire as stated in Valleywise Health's Vehicle Use Policy ("VUP”).
  • Must be able to provide proof of auto liability insurance every six (6) months.
  • Must undergo a Motor Vehicle Record check annually.
  • Must comply with the additional requirements in the VUP Policy.
  • Must be able to drive their personal vehicle to several Valleywise Health locations as determined by the department needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
  • Must have knowledge and ability to work with schematics, blueprints, calibrate equipment, digital circuitry, and analog circuitry.
  • Must be proficient at reading and analyzing schematic diagrams, including analog and digital circuits, and possess a working knowledge of electrical and electronic fundamentals, mechanical and pneumatics theory, digital circuit theory, and microprocessor theory.
  • They must also be proficient in Windows PC and network operating systems, PC repair, and fundamental knowledge of Local Area Network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Must be knowledgeable in DNV standards for the Environment of Care.
