The UK SECURE Director provides strategic leadership, oversight, and operational direction for the University’s research compliance enterprise. This position ensures the responsible conduct of research by developing, implementing, and sustaining programs that provide guidance, resources, and education to the research community on regulatory, ethical, and institutional compliance requirements. The UK SECURE Director is responsible for advancing institutional excellence through export control and compliance. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners, the UK SECURE Director promotes a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement across all phases of the research lifecycle. This role serves as a key advisor to university leadership on compliance risk, regulatory trends, and best practices, and ensures institutional alignment with federal, state, sponsor, and University policies governing research activities.

In addition to the work as UK SECURE Director, this role will also provide research and technical leadership for CAER (Center for Applied Energy Research) and will play a key role in the acquisition of funding for the center.
