Grounds Maintenance (seasonal full-time position) at Stone Gables Estate, LLC – Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

Position will be to assist with ground maintenance duties such as picking up litter, watering plants, raking leaves, pulling weeds, and supporting general upkeep of outdoor areas.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Must wear proper clothing and closed-toe shoes
• May require work permit depending on state

Primary Job Duties

• Planting, watering, plant care, pruning, mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, snow removal
• Assist with lawn care (raking, watering, weeding)
• Pick up litter and dispose of trash properly
• Sweep sidewalks and outdoor spaces
• Plant flowers or shrubs under supervision
• Assist in cleaning tools and work areas
• Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions
• Power-driven lawn mowers or trimmers
• Chainsaws or weed whackers

Work Context

Physical Demands/Environment:

• Regularly required to sit or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; use peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; work in wet or humid conditions and in outdoor weather.
• Frequently required to stand, climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk, smell; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use distance vision. Subject to cleaning chemicals.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move over 100 pounds, work in high places.
• The noise level is usually moderate.
