Job Title: Handyman/Porter
Location: Rainier Condominium Building, Point Ruston
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 8:00am – 1:00 pm (20 hours/week)
Reports to: Onsite Property Manager
Compensation: $26/hour | No Benefits

About the Role

The Handyman/Porter is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the Rainier Condominium Building at Point Ruston. This role combines light maintenance tasks with daily porter duties to ensure buildings, common areas, and grounds are well cared for and presentable for residents and owners. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality service.

Schedule

• Wednesday – Saturday
• 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• 20 hours/week
• Fixed, predictable schedule

Responsibilities

Porter Duties

• Walk all floors and perform daily groundskeeping and emptying trash receptacles, litter pickup, blowing walkways/garage, debris removal
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or irregularities
• Maintain trash enclosure cleanliness and organization
• Perform regular pressure washing, carpet cleaning, garage cleaning
• Assist with periodic resident/community events

Handyman / Light Maintenance Duties

• Replace bulbs and basic electrical fixtures
• Perform basic plumbing: flappers, clogs, small leaks
• Drywall patching and touch-up painting
• Adjust/repair doors, locks, cabinets, and hardware
• Complete work orders professionally and efficiently
• Maintain supply inventory and coordinate vendor access when needed

Qualifications

• Experience in handyman, maintenance, or porter work preferred
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., use ladders, and perform physical work
• Strong attention to detail and customer-service mindset
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation

• $26/hour | No Benefits
