Role Overview
VersAbility Resources is seeking a dependable and hands-on Lead Maintenance Technician to support facility operations and maintenance across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on, supported role with a clear growth path, ideal for individuals looking to build their skills and advance within facilities and maintenance operations.
Working closely with the Facilities Manager, this role ensures buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically inclined, and comfortable performing a variety of maintenance tasks in a dynamic environment.
This position is especially well-suited for recent trade school graduates or early-career professionals seeking to gain practical experience and grow within a mission-driven organization.

What You’ll Do
• Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, basic carpentry, and repairs
• Assist with minor electrical and plumbing work
• Conduct routine building inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
• Set up and reconfigure office spaces, furniture, and equipment
• Document issues and communicate updates to the Facilities Manager
• Coordinate with team members and external vendors as needed
• Support fire safety efforts and participate in safety training
• Assist with facility upgrades and improvement projects
• Respond to occasional after-hours maintenance needs
• Participate in the Emergency Preparedness Response Team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, or general repairs)
• Trade school training (HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or related field) preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to use tools, equipment, and basic maintenance systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role involves a mix of indoor and outdoor work across multiple facilities.
The position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly. Work may include use of tools, ladders, and equipment, as well as exposure to varying weather conditions.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with occasional after-hours support required based on maintenance needs.
