Job Description

  • Remote in Oregon: This position is primarily remote but may require onsite presence at least quarterly.
  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Provides effective planning and logistical coordination of Samaritan Health Services (SHS) education, including student services, workforce development, life support, and live classes. Provides timely, learner-focused support to promote a positive learning experience. Builds positive working relationships with learners, instructors, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate consistent, high-quality education. As a member of Learning Impact & Tech (LIT), ensures dependable learning operations and services that strengthen learner success and advance organizational goals.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The Learning & Development department supports the development of necessary skills, knowledge, and competency across the SHS workforce and throughout the healthcare professional’s continuum of learning and development. The department cultivates a dynamic culture of continuous learning and professional growth, empowering SHS learners to deliver exceptional care and services through innovative learning programs and initiatives.

  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
    • One (1) year of experience in a position of similar responsibility and complexity in marketing, event coordination, community outreach, adult education, student services, customer service, or project management required.
    • Experience in LMSs, web/cloud-based systems, databases, reporting/analytic, or other learning platforms required.
    • Experience and/or training with MS Office Suite required.
    • Experience in creating communications and editing materials required.
    • Experience and/or training with contracts preferred.
    • Heatlhcare industry experience preferred.
  • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Communication - Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships. Effective written and oral communication skills to present and explain complex issues and exchange information and ideas between team members. Excellent conflict resolution and customer service skills to tactfully address and resolve challenges and concerns.
    • Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure, and to thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments. Works with limited supervision and autonomously makes decisions within designated scope and authority.
    • Adaptability/Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to urgent situations and to adjust actions to offer the best solutions to our internal and external customers. Effective problem-solver.
    • Computer Literacy - Knowledge and basic trouble shooting experience of electronic equipment, computer hardware and software. Ability to learn new applications, enter data, and manipulate and process information.
    • Project Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple fast-moving projects with changing priorities, drivers and dependencies. Ability to work effectively independently or as part of an integrated team to achieve a goal. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Problem Solving - Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.?
    • Community Relations - Ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders and to represent the organization to customers, the public, academic and government partners, and other external sources.
