About This Position

Description:

General Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist support several areas of human resources including recruiting, benefits, coordinating employment activities, receiving and acting on employee complaints, administering employee records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, policy and procedure development and administration, and other programs.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Annual reporting to include AAP, EEO-1, FACIS 1 and 3, NPDB, etc.
  • Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions.
  • Performs a variety of HR functions.
  • Supports recruiting, resume screening, and performing pre-employment screening.
  • Performs orientations with new employees and schedules internal training requirements.
  • Maintains records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database to ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Trains and advises hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods.
  • Assists with compensation and benefits administration.
  • Participates in job-related training sessions and seminars.
  • Maintains employee records and licensing is up to date and uploaded in HRIS.
  • Performs a variety of HR administrative functions.
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary of Compensation

The base compensation represents the entry point of the range. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education and performance. The salary is just one component of Solvista Health's total compensation package for employees.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of HRIS system and benefits administration, Paylocity preferred.
  • Advanced interpersonal, organizational, and communication (both written and oral) skills.
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts within policies, apply them, and articulate them.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines, and keep up with workload.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a busy, high-stress environment; prepare and maintain accurate records; interpret rules and regulations.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

  • Ability to work within ATS software (Paylocity preferred).

Education or Formal Training:

  • Bachelor’s in human resources or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • At least two (2) years experience in multiple areas of human resources.

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, in-person.

Working Conditions and Other Conditions of Employment

Working Environment:

This job operates in a fast-paced, professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. The position may require travel to conferences, meetings and branch locations on a regular or intermittent basis. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. In the health center environment, there is potential for contact with blood-borne pathogens and communicable diseases, as well as potential for contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals. There could be interaction with persons who are mentally ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a largely sedentary role but can involve standing or sitting for extended periods of time, bending at the waist, and using hands and fingers to handle and file papers or operate assigned equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may also have to lift 10 to 25 lbs. unassisted.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Annual TB, federally required drug screening, and Influenza vaccination or compliance with policy and procedure.
  • Required possession of a valid state driver's license.
  • Successful candidate must submit to and pass, post-offer drug screen and background check.
