Essential Functions
- Provides technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility.
- Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans, conducts tests and troubleshoots equipment.
- Documents test procedures and results.
- Solves routine technical problems.
- Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented. Problem-solving skills. Engineering support. Manufacturing engineering. Test execution. Test documentation.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
- This position is Safety-Sensitive.
