About This Position
Responsible for assisting the shift supervisor to ensure that the assigned production line (mixing through packaging) delivers the scheduled volume of production while achieving quality and efficiency goals; it is imperative that that this leader maintain the pace required and is aware of the workflow of the bakery. Responsible for training, coaching and helping team members solve problems.
Requirements:· Coordinates the work of approximately 20 team members in all areas of the production line
· Acts as the “subject matter expert” for end-to-end bakery operations
· Coaches, trains, and ultimately drives retention of team members
· Assists shift supervisor in creating weekly production schedule; ensures the adherence to the schedule.
· Maintains line compliance with all Food and Employee safety measures
· Collaborates with maintenance, sanitation, quality, IT for resolving any issue on the line
· Coordinates the work activities, placement and training of Line Leads & Team Members on the shift.
· Fosters effective communication and relationships with machine leaders and other team members.
· Meet the company set standards for quality, yield, OEE, labor hours and down time.
· Develop and implement ideas to improve efficiency and reduce waste for the production line. Encourage and provide ideas for continual improvement within the operation of the line.
· Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area by following GMPs, Team Member Safety and Food Safety & Defense Policies. Maintain a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL SETS REQUIREMENTS
· Experienced in the daily operation of the baking and packaging functions
· Fully knowledgeable of all company products and specifications.
· Able to recognize poor quality product(s) and capable of making the appropriate discard decision.
· Knows how to prevent damage that affects the quality of the products, the equipment, and minimizes down time.
· Solid computer skills (Word, Excel)
· Is flexible and able to work beyond regularly scheduled work hours on short notice
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
